Men's Football
The Macquarie Dragons have teams in the All Age, Over 35's, Over 45's and Premier League competitions. Senior Football is managed by the Senior football convener.
We are proud to say the Dragons have an excellent disciplinary record with NWSF as well as the largest amount of senior mens teams in the Association. We have competitive teams with ex professional players who like the competitive edge of weekend football & we also have social football teams where its friend based & or playing purely for fitness.
Each team will have to nominate its own coach (except for Premier League) who will facilitate and run weekly training sessions designed for the team. The training nights will be advised by the coach, and will sessions will be held either at Waterloo Park or Marsfield Park. Anyone who would like to improve their coaching skills should contact the Senior football convener.
Training sessions will commence in late March.
If you'd like more information please contact the Senior football convener seniorfootball@macquariedragons.com.au
Electronic Matchsheets
Since 2018, electronic matchsheets have been compulsory for all Men's competitions. Both teams are required to have their teamsheets marked as “complete” and to confirm the other team’s teamsheet in the system 10 mins prior to kick-off.

Women’s Football
Macquarie Dragons offers women and girls the opportunity to play football for the first time in the combined North West Sydney Football (NWSF) association.
The club has a proud tradition of female players, our most well-known being Michelle Jenneke, the current Australian 100 metre hurdler (please see our Facebook page for photos of Michelle at the 2014 presentation day). Michelle played for the Dragons for over ten years, starting in the minis as an under 6 player.
The club has All Age players and Junior teams and is looking to build and grow women’s football.
Girls can choose to play either Saturdays or Sundays in NWSF. There is the option to play both – should we be able to offer a team for both days.
We are also keen to encourage our female players to become coaches and/or referees. We continue to have a female presence as both referees and coaches and we are very keen to support our players who may want to consider either a referee or coaching role as well.
Our family friendly, inclusive club welcomes female players of all ages and abilities.
