Training grounds
Our club training grounds (subject to council availability) are Waterloo Park & Marsfield Park.
Football boots are not permitted for training in March as per the Association & Council's regulations. All players MUST train in joggers or turf shoes.
Coerver Academy training
The Macquarie Dragons have introduced Coerver Coaching Academy to run their Co-operative style training program for all players from U6-U13 to teach children the art of football at a very young age.
Co-operative or academy training styles teach the children ball skills and techniques. It allows teams to train as a unit and also as a squad. The sessions are fun and form an important part of learning for young children.
MINI DRAGONS Pre School Program - Back by popular demand
Macquarie Dragons run a successful Pre School football program for the Dragons members little brothers & sisters and the broader community. This program is designed for2.5-4.5yr olds and run for 8 weeks in April/May then again in Oct/Nov.
Each player will receive a FREE mini dragons t-shirt to look and feel like a little footballer. More info to follow on our website.
Creative Player Program
Macquarie Dragons run an 8 week advanced skills creative player program with Coerver Academy. This is for players in the U6 to U16 age groups and consists of professional football training sessions to develop the technical abilities of our young players. This program is optional and will attract a small additional fee with the majority of cost subsidised by the club.
Coerver also offer many Holiday Programs that many Dragons attend. Please visit Coerver website for more info.
Goalkeeper training
FREE specialist goalkeeper sessions are available for aspiring U8-U18 keepers. These sessions are usually run on demand at Waterloo Park. Spots can be limited to 8-10 players per session.
