At Special General Meetings held on 18 July 2019, members of GHFA and North West Sydney Women's Football Association overwhelmingly voted in support of resolutions to merge to establish North West Sydney Football Ltd.

Macquarie Dragons was awarded the 2018 club championship trophy at the North West Sydney Women’s Football (NWSWF)  AGM on 26 November 2018. This award recognises the efforts of all the players, coaches, managers, parents, partners and supporters of the female teams within the club community.
